Hitchcock Blonde is not a play about Alfred Hitchcock. But he may however make a cameo appearance. Of the less familiar characters, one is likely to amuse, the other will behave appallingly... Terry Johnson's popular new comedy transfers from the Royal Court to the West End.

Terry Johnson is an award-winning playwright and director. He has won the Olivier Award for Best Comedy in 1994 and 1999, Playwright of the Year 1995, Critics Circle Best New Play 1995, Writers’ Guild Best Play 1995, the Meyer-Whitworth Award 1993 and the John Whiting Award 1991. His previous plays produced at the Royal Court include INSIGNIFICANCE and HYSTERIA. His other work includes DEAD FUNNY (writer and director - Hampstead/West End), CLEO, CAMPING, EMMANUELLE AND DICK (writer and director - National Theatre), THE GRADUATE (adapter and director - West End) and THE LONDON CUCKOLDS (adapter and director - National Theatre). He has also directed THE MEMORY OF WATER (Hampstead/West End) and THE LIBERTINE (with John Malkovich - Chicago).
